ROW | Voyageurs Golden to Begin Season

The Laurentian Rowing teams began their season at the Guelph Invite and returned home with plenty of hardware around their necks.

On the women's side, Abbey Maillet was a double gold medalist at the season's opening regatta in Guelph.  She won the women's lightweight single in a time of 8:08.34, 15 seconds ahead of her closest competitor.  She followed that up with a win in the women's open single, nosing ahead of the second place boat by less than three seconds.

On the men's side, Alexandre Martel was golden in his OUA season debut.  In the men's adaptive single, Martel crossed the line in 8:21.33 to claim the victory in his first race of the season.
