Set pieces leading to a Rams 2-0 win

Set pieces leading to a Rams 2-0 win

The final home game of the seniors' Voyageurs' careers was welcomed by a fantastic atmosphere from the crowd. The pace of play was there from the start, with both teams having solid opportunities from corners within the first five minutes of play. Ryerson had the extra step in the play with the Rams winning most of all 50/50 battles in the midfield helping the Rams control the game. Even though the Rams had control of the game, the shots they were taking barely hit the net in the first half with only 3 out of their 9 needed to be saved by Francesco Tosini. In the 38 minutes of the match, the Rams got a corner. A perfect cross in the box hit the head of Jacob Carlos and the ball went flying in the back of the net giving the Rams the 1-0 going into halftime.

The second half was exactly like the first but unfortunately worse for the Voyageurs, with the team not recording a single shot. Ryerson with great possession had their striker through on goal, however, Tosini made an incredible diving save to keep the game just 1-0. The match continued the same with the Voyageurs playing defense all half, trying to keep the Rams attack at bay. Unfortunately, the Rams' set pieces were on point today with their second goal coming from a free-kick cross in the box and swiftly placed in the back of the net for the second goal of the game. The full-time whistle ended with the Rams winning 2-0.

The Voyageur's record going their last two games is 2-5-1 with the next game being played away against the Rams on Sunday.
