For the men's soccer team, the task was simple in their final game of the regular season; score at least three more goals than the other team to leapfrog them in the standings and qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2018. Unfortunately Queen's had other ideas, blanking the Voyageurs 6-0 and ending their season.
The team began the game trying to methodically chip away at the three goal margin however, a Nick Alie Day strike in the 16th minute set the Voyageurs back on their heels and they could not recover, giving up two more in the first half and three in the second half en route to the 6-0 defeat. Ben Firman made five saves in the defeat.
The loss closes the book on season that saw the Voyageurs go 2-8-2 on the season despite scoring 15 goals over their 12 games.
