The Voyageurs opened the 2017 season against the defending OUA East regular season champs and played them tough through the first 45 minutes before the Ryerson Rams' experience and skill took over in a 3-0 win.
Connor Vande Weghe stood tall in the Voyageurs' net in the first half, stopping all 3 of the shots fired his way but the Voyageurs managed only a single shot on target in the opening 45'.
It was the second half where the flood gates opened, as the Rams scored in the 58th, 71st and 78th minute to open a 3-0 margin that they wouldn't relinquish.
The men will look to regroup as they return to the pitch tomorrow at 2:15pm when they face the Toronto Varsity Blues at Varsity Stadium.
