MHKY | Voyageurs Swept Out of Playoffs by Redmen
The McGill men's hockey team beat the Laurentian University Voyageurs 9-1 at McConnell Arena, Saturday, to sweep their OUA East best-of-three quarter-final series 2-0. 
 
This contest ensued with the unstoppable Redmen netting a four goal first period, two of which were scored by Guillaume Gauthier and the remaining two scored by Samuel Hodhod and Dominic Talabot-Tassi. This would give the Redmen a 4-0 lead by the first intermission 

The Voyagers would come out into the second period knowing they had to cut into the McGill lead but the McGill goaltender Louis-Philip Guindon was able to turn away all 18 shots in 40 minutes

On the opposite side of the puck the McGill Redmen were able to put in three more goals making the lead 7-0. This would send the Vees into the second intermission for a current score of 7-0. 
 
The third period resulted in Laurentian's first and only goal of the night, scored by Brent Pederson and assisted by Caleb Apperson and Kaden Ruest. The third period also brought McGill two more goals one of them being by Guillaume Gauthier giving him a hatrick on the night and a final score of 9-1 to end the Voyageurs men's season.
