WHKY | Voyageurs Shut Out in Guelph

The Laurentian Voyageurs played their second game of the weekend against the Guelph Gryphons. The Gryphons are a mighty opponent as they constantly have a top ranking OUA team but as well were first in the OUA in the 2018-19 season with a record of 16-4. This year the Gryphons have much less favourable record than last year but still remain in the middle of the pack with four wins in seven games.

The Voyageurs, although hot off a win from Brock, were unable to beat Alexandrea Davidson on nineteen attempts in the entire sixty minutes. Alongside Davidson's shutout, the Gryphons offence would score three goals on the matchup giving them a 3-0 final.

The Vees' Danielle Toland started her first game of the season against the Gryphons and put up a very respectabe thirty-three saves on thirty five shots and only letting in two of the three goals scored, the other being an empty net.

The Voyageurs split the weekend with one win and a loss and return back to Sudbury and prepare to play both Ryerson and the Varsity Blues this coming Novemeber 15th and 16th.
