Coming off a 3–0 loss away at U of T, Laurentian searched for a better result at home. However, the Varsity Blues once again proved too strong, winning convincingly by a score of 4–0.
In their previous meeting, it took Toronto nearly 40 minutes to break the deadlock. This time, they wasted no time, scoring just three minutes into the match. A pinpoint cross from Anthony White was powerfully headed home by Andrea Schifano, who scored his third goal of the season. With the Voyageurs still trying to settle into the match, the visitors quickly doubled their lead. Another dangerous ball into the Laurentian penalty area took an unfortunate deflection off a defender and found its way into the back of the net. After a nightmare start, the Voyageurs regrouped and managed to keep the score at 2–0 heading into halftime.
Much like the first half, the Varsity Blues struck early after the restart. Former OUA Rookie of the Year Niklas Hallam curled home a brilliant strike to give Toronto a commanding 3–0 lead — his eighth goal of the campaign to go along with three assists. Just nine minutes later, forward Jordan Grey calmly slotted home a penalty to put the game completely out of reach. Laurentian continued to press over the remainder of the match but were unable to find the back of the net, as they tasted defeat for the seventh time this season. The Voyageurs generated nine shots compared to ten for Toronto, but the visitors were far more clinical in front of goal.
The Voyageurs will wrap up their season with Senior Day against Trent, while the Varsity Blues travel to North Bay to face Nipissing before beginning another playoff run.
