WHKY | Voyageurs Blanked by Badgers

WHKY | Voyageurs Blanked by Badgers

The Laurentian Voyageurs women's hockey team played their second last home game of the season against the Brock Badgers tonight. Despite a strong season, the Voyageurs found themselves eliminated from playoff contention in the very competitive OUA division.

The Badgers would be in playoff contention as they would hold fourth place in the OUA and although this game technically held no advantage for them they still asserted dominance throughout the game.

The Badgers would net three goals, one of them being an empty net from Annie Berg. The other two were scored by Annie Berg and Cassidy Maplethorpe. The Badger's Jensen Murphy would remain solid and turn away all twenty-nine shots and take home a shutout alongside a win. At the other end, Shanna Dolighan made twenty-nine saves for the Voyageurs.

The Voyageurs drop their second last game of the season against the Badgers and will finalize the 2019-2020 season against the Guelph Gryphons tomorrow.
