The Voyageurs Women's Soccer Team opened their 2017-18 season in Toronto on Saturday and fell to the Ryerson Rams by a 1-0 score line.
The Rams' speed gave the Voyageurs trouble all day and they finally broke through late in the first half as third year midfielder, Alessia Carvalho, slotted the ball into the back of the Voyageurs' net. Second year goalkeeper, Josée Scott, shut the door in the 2nd half but the Voyageurs couldn't muster any offence.
The team now has less than 24 hours to prepare for the Toronto Varsity Blues as they kick off Sunday at 12pm at Varsity Stadium.
