The Voyageurs women's soccer team kept their undefeated streak alive in a nail-biting 1-1- tie against the Trent Excalibur on Sunday afternoon.
The teams traded offensive opportunities for most of the game with both goalkeepers coming up with key saves to head into the half notched at 0-0.
The story was much of the same in the second half until Excalibur midfielder, Kaitlyn Steffler, put her team on the board in the 72nd minute.
The 1-0 deficit shifted the Voyageurs into high gear and increased the pressure on Trent's defense. The offensive burst eventually paid off in the 89th minute when defender, Bianca Breiding, put her third of the season past Trent's goalkeeper, Mackaylen Bickle to knot the score at 1-1.
The exciting finish pushes the Voyageurs four points ahead of the Ryerson Rams and two points in front of the University of Toronto Varsity Blues who both travel to Sudbury this weekend for matchups on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at the LU Soccer Field.
