After picking up their first win of the season Saturday against the RMC Paladins the Laurentian Voyageurs Women's Soccer Team welcomed the Queen's Gaels to town for their final home game of the season.

Coming into this game the Gaels were the firm favourites being 5-1-1 going into this matchup. However on the back of the win the previous day the Voyageurs gained some much needed momentum going into this tough matchup.

That momentum was quickly taken away though as just 12 minutes into the game the score was already 2-0 Queen's. Laurentian struggled to strings passes together as the ruthless pressure from the Gaels made it difficult for the Voyageurs defensive unit to get any reprieve throughout the first half

This ended up with a flurry of goals just after the half hour markt when Queen's scored three goals in a space of 7 minutes to make it 5-0 going into half.

Goalkeeper Noémie Bouchard made 16 impressive saves in the game, however it was not enough as in the second half the Gaels would add another to make it 6-0 finishing the game in convincing fashion.

Laurentian continues the regular season on the road next weekend when they take a trip to Peterborough and Oshawa to face-off against the Trent Excalibur and Ontario Tech Ridgebacks respectively with both games set to begin at 1pm.
