Corner kick leads to a 2-1 Rams win

The Voyageurs lose their second last game of the season against the Rams.

It was a back-and-forth affair to start the afternoon, with the Rams and Voyageurs exchanging efforts with no final product.

The Voyageurs then began to put significant pressure on the Rams, which resulted in Océane La Via hitting the crossbar on the Rams net. 

The Rams came back with pressure of their own, however, with a Rams attacker and defender created a pair of chances to swing the momentum back the Rams way.

The Rams were finally rewarded for their pressure with a goal, making it 1-0 just seconds before half time. 

To start the second half, the Voyageurs struck back with a 50th minute goal from Charlie Frew, but the Rams came right back on the press.

With the game tied at 1-1, the Rams continued to look dangerous, and forced the Voyageurs to give up a corner kick. Off the corner, found the Rams attacker Frew for her second goal of the afternoon.

The Voyageurs piled on the pressure to try and equalize the game but unfortunately the final whistle blew and the game ended 2-1 lead.

The Voyageurs will play their final game of the season at Algoma next Saturday!
