The women's soccer team hit the road heading south this weekend to face the University of Toronto Varsity Blues and the TMU Bold.

On Saturday, at Varsity Stadium, the Voyageurs kept a scoreless game going into the half. Nevertheless, the higher ranked Varsity Blues opened up the scoring at the 48-minute mark. The Voyageurs kept battling but the Blues proceeded to net another goal at the 60th minute, to win the match 2-0. Goalkeeper Hunter Jones finished with five saves in the contest.

On Sunday, the Voyageurs played the lower ranked TMU Bold. For the first 20 minutes of the match, the game was scoreless, until forward Cass Armstrong netted the first goal of the weekend for the Voyageurs at the 24th minute on a free kick. Right before halftime, the Bold scored one over a penalty kick, equalizing the game at 1 point apiece.

In a fairly physical second half, the Voyageurs saw numerous chances but could not get the ball past TMU's goalkeeper. Shortly after the 60-minute mark, the Bold netted their second goal of the game, giving them a 2-1 lead over the Voyageurs. Voyageurs goalkeeper Noémie Bouchard completed the game with three saves.

The women's soccer team will be back home to host a rematch against the Varsity Blues on Sunday at 12pm.
