The Laurentian University men's basketball team looked to bounce back tonight after a tough loss at the hands of the Toronto Varsity Blues. Unfortunately they would have to do so against one of the OUA's best, the Ryerson Rams, who have yet to lose this season.
The story of the game for the Vee's was their turnover trouble. The team gave up a season high 28 turnovers leading to 40 points for the Rams. Several errant passes and travelling violations were to blame for the high TO total.
A bright spot for Laurentian was the shooting of forward OJ Watson who shot 44% (4-9) from the field and 50% (4-8) from beyond the arc. Kadre Gray continued his elite scoring dropping a game high 24 points in the loss.
The Voyageurs are back home next weekend to try to push their record above .500 once again. The task will not be easy as they will take on the OUA's perennial powerhouses Ottawa and Carleton. The action gets underway at the Ben Avery Gym on November 25th at 8PM.
