MBB | Voyageurs Vault Over Lancers

MBB | Voyageurs Vault Over Lancers

Laurentian took the court for the second last time of the semester as they faced off against the Windsor Lancers at the Ben Avery Gymnasium tonight, this time without leading scorer, Kadre Gray, who is currently with the senior national team.

Despite their missing piece, the Voyageurs came out strong in the opening quarter and maintained their dominance in the second, leading by 19 at half. However this strong lead didn't last long, as Windsor pushed back hard in the third quarter, going on multiple runs and outscoring the home team 25-14. Luckily, Laurentian was able to refocus themselves in the final quarter,  coming away with the win handedly, 84-63.

Voyageurs were lead by first year guard, Joseph Hlady, who had a break out game with 22 points in his 26 minutes on court. Guard, Haroun Mohamed, was another top contributor for Laurentian as he tallied 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Leading scorer for the Lancers was Damian Persaud with 23 points.

The Voyageurs will look to keep this energy going as they match up against the Western Mustangs tomorrow evening on home court at 8pm for their last game of 2018.
