After a tough loss on Friday the Laurentian Voyageurs Men's Basketball team suited up once again Saturday night welcoming the TMU Bold to the Ben Avery Gym.
As the game got underway both teams began going toe-to-toe exchanging baskets for the majority of the first quarter. With just a minute and a half to go and the score at 12-12 TMU would go on a 7-0 run to the end the quarter taking a 19-12 lead after one.
From there the second quarter would be one for the Voyageurs to forget as after Kamil Dia-Hantchi knocked down a three just 30 seconds into the quarter Laurentian would not add another point for nearly seven and a half minutes allowing TMU to continue to build their lead. In the end the Bold would outscore Laurentian 21-8 in the second taking a 20 point lead into the break.
The third quarter saw Laurentian's offensive woes continue as they would go just 5-16 from the field and put up just 13 points. They would also commit a total of 7 turnovers in the third quarter alone meaning that even though they would outscore the Bold in the fourth the game was already out of reach with TMU coming away with the road win by a score of 73-49.
The Voyageurs will look to bounce back from a rough weekend with a road game in Guelph Thursday night as they take on the Gryphons. Tip-off for the game on Halloween night is set for 8pm.
