MBB | Voyageurs Can't Keep Pace With Rams

The Voyageurs men's basketball team headed to Ryerson to battle the Rams in the first round of the OUA playoffs.  Unfortunately the Voyageurs could not find a way to shut down the Rams' hot shooting and saw their season come to an end with a 91-62 defeat.

The game started with both teams struggling to find their range. It was a very slow, intense first five minutes of the game with only eight points being scored between the two teams. After the teams shot a combined 7-34, it was Ryerson heading to the second with an 11-7 lead.  The second quarter saw both teams start to dial things in but it was the Rams who caught fire from three, going 6-12 from deep, growing their lead to 14 heading into the half.

The second half was a continuation of the second quarter, with both teams playing well but the Rams were much more efficient with their shooting, converting at a 58.3% clip in the half compared to the Voyageurs' 41.7% success rate.  The hot shooting of the Rams was too much for the Voyageurs to overcome as they ultimately fell 91-62.  Caillou Lacroix was the Voyageurs leading scorer with 13 in the game while Cedric Mbiaba pulled down 11 boards in the loss.

The season is now wrapped up for the Voyageurs as they look forward to next year in hopes of improving off the solid season they had this year.
