Hunter Jones, Women's Soccer

Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs soccer goalkeeper, Hunter Jones (Baltimore, ON), has been named the Female Athlete of the Week.

Jones, a 4th year Concurrent Education student, had a very busy first weekend of league action.  In the season opener at uOttawa on Friday, Jones turned aside 15 Gee-Gees shots in just 70 minutes of action.  On Sunday, at home against Carleton, Jones saved another 13 shots in a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat.  Jones easily leads the OUA with 28 saves through her first two games.

Jones and her team will be back on the pitch next weekend, after a bye this coming weekend, when they visit Nipissing before welcoming Ottawa.
