For the second time in as many games, the Voyageurs allowed their opponents to jump out to a large lead and, despite locking in and winning the remainder of the game, it would be too much of a hill to climb as the Brock Badgers leave town with a 70-58 win.

The Voyageurs got out to a quick start as Emilie Lafond and Cadence Pecore, a familiar duo all night, staked the home side to a 5-0 lead.  By the 4:26 mark of the first, Brock had battled back and, after a Lafond layup, had taken a 15-11 lead, which is where the Voyageurs shooting went cold.  Laurentian would only manage a single point the rest of the period while Brock added 13, opening up a 28-12 lead.  The second began much the way the first ended, with the Badgers continuing to build on their lead.  Late in the quarter, the Voyageurs finally found their footing, finishing on a 14-2 run and trim to the lead to 44-32 at halftime.

The second half featured runs by both sides but neither team was able to sustain it, playing to a 26-26 tie in the half.  Ultimately, the extended cold streak early in the game and the 26 turnovers committed by the Voyageurs were too much to overcome as they fell to the Badgers 70-58.

A pair of bright spots for the Voyageurs were Cadence Pecore and Emilie Lafond as they had a game high 26 points and 22 points, respectively, while Lafond pulled down 9 rebounds in the contest.  The Voyageurs will return to the court on Friday when they host the Laurier Golden Hawks at 6pm.
