The Voyageurs hit home court tonight dressed in pink, as they celebrated their annual Shoot for the Cure game.  With a well-packed gym the home team was ready to start their last set of regular season games on home court with some energy as they faced off against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.

Both teams battled hard right out of the gate, tying up the match at both the quarter and halfway mark. Toronto gained a little steam in the third, but the home team caught up in the fourth sending the game into overtime, but it didn't end there. A three-point make by the Blues in the finals seconds of the first OT tied up the score once again. Unfortunately for the Voyageurs, they missed too many essential buckets in the final minutes of the second overtime, which ultimately resulted in an 83-80 win in the Varsity Blues' favour.

Leading contributor for the Voyageurs was third-year guard Kayla Deschatelets who earned a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Veteran guards Emily Tinnes and Andrea Zulich each chipped in 16 points of their own while Mackenzie Robinson had a massive day on the glass, pulling in 16 rebounds.

Leading scorer for the Varsity Blues was Nada Radonjic with 16 points.

The Voyageurs will look to rest up and refocus for tomorrow's match, where they'll face off against the Ryerson University Rams for the team's Senior's Night.
