The Voyageurs headed to Toronto on Saturday to battle the nation's third ranked team, the undefeated Ryerson Rams. At the end of the game, it was the Rams emerging victorius, 91-54.
The game started with both teams battling hard to keep the lead when the Rams went on an 8-0 run and started to increase their lead. Unfortunately for the Voyageurs, the damage by the Rams had already been done and the game was pretty much over at half with the Rams being up 19 at the break.
The Rams offense was electric from the start and never cooled down, not giving the Voyageurs defense a chance to stop them. The star of the game for the Voyageurs was Bailey Tabin with her 15 points and 8 rebounds and was competing hard all game for the Voyageurs on the glass and down in the paint area.
A positive for the Voyageurs today was the team heads never dropped and they continued to play their systems to the final whistle.
The Voyageurs play the Rams again tomorrow at Ryerson at 1 pm. The Voyageurs record is now 6-7.
