WBB | Third Ranked Rams Run Away from Voyageurs

The 5-9 Voyageurs faced off against the #3 ranked 12-2 Ryerson University Rams tonight at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. With a competitive record, Laurentian knew they were in for a tough battle against the Rams, which is exactly what happened.

The Rams were on the run quickly, outscoring the Voyageurs in the initial quarter of the game, and carrying this lead with them for the duration of the game. This ultimately resulted in a 87-63 win in Ryerson's favour.

A primary struggle for Laurentian was defending the boards. The Rams were given multiple opportunities for second chance scores off their 25 offensive rebounds.

Leading contributor for the Voyageurs was fourth year guard Mackenzie Robinson with 23 points. Second year forward Bailey Tabin had 13 points of her own in the loss.

Top scorer for the Rams was Sofia Paska with 13 point.

Laurentian will look to shake off the loss and refocus for tomorrow's match when they'll face off against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues at the Goldring Center.
