For their second matchup of the 2018/2019 season, the Voyageurs faced off on home court against the Lakehead University Thunderwolves.
After a competitive first half of gameplay, the Voyageurs were trailing by a single point going into half time. However, the Thundewolves came out hot into the second part of the game. The Voyageurs ultimately just couldn't stop their opponent's high three point percentage and strong post play. This consequently resulted in a 75-51 victory in Lakehead's favour.
Top contributor for the Voyageurs was third year guard Kayla Deschatelets with 17 points while fifth year guard Emily Tinnes chipped in 14 points of her own.
Leading scorer for the Thunderwolves was Leashja Grant with 22 points.
Laurentian will face off on home court once again next weekend, this time matching up against the Brock Badgers on Friday at 6pm and the McMaster Marauders on Saturday at 6pm.
