For their day two match up, the Voyageurs faced off against the Champlain College Cougars hailing from Quebec. Despite a close initial quarter, Laurentian shifted into another gear in the second, ultimately crushing the Cougars by a 26 point spread, 78 to 52.
Again the home team was propelled by their seasoned pair of guards, Emily Tinnes and Andrea Zulich. This time Tinnes took the scoring lead with 21 points, shooting 78% from the field. Zulich racked up a double double of her own with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Lead scorer for the Cougars was Jess Vidovic with 12 points.
The Voyageurs will have a short rest before they face off tomorrow at 2pm at the Ben Avery Gymnasium against the Algoma Thunderbirds for their last match of the tournament.
