WBB | Lafond and Pecore Recognized in Year End Awards

The OUA named the women's basketball all stars and award winners on Wednesday, and the Voyageurs were recognized with a second team all-star in Émilie Lafond and a member of the all-rookie team in Cadence Pecore.

Lafond, a fourth year Health Promotion student from Hanmer, ON, started all 22 games for the Voyageurs, averaging over 32 minutes per night.  Lafond led the Voyageurs, averaging 18.5 points per game while grabbing 7.9 rebounds per game and averaging more than a block per game.

Pecore, a first year Sport and Physical Education student from Porcupine, ON, started all 22 games for the Voyageurs, averaging 11.9 points per game while grabbing 4.4 rebounds per game and dishing out 2.2 assists per game.
